Who
we are

DSR is an independent product venture studio creating new consumer products across home, lifestyle, utility, and everyday-use categories.

We move ideas from observation to concept, then through design, sourcing, prototyping, and launch preparation.

What we do

From observation
to launch

Most product ideas stall between the sketch and the tool. DSR is built to carry an idea through the stages where that usually happens.

Observation

Everyday friction, noticed and written down before it becomes a product. We start from a real problem someone actually has, not from a category we would like to be in.

Concept

The idea drawn and defined: what it does, who it is for, and what it has to beat. Drawn before it is argued about, so the conversation is about something real.

Design

Mechanism, form and materials worked through to something that can actually be made. Wall thickness, draft and tolerance decisions are settled here, not after the tool is cut.

Sourcing

Manufacturing partners identified, qualified and quoted. Costs, revisions and commitments are held in writing rather than in conversation.

Prototyping

Physical parts made, handled and tested between design revisions. We hold the part, break the part, and change the part.

Launch preparation

Tooling, first articles, packaging and the commercial groundwork a product needs before it goes to market.

Story

The story
behind DSR

David has always been an inventor at heart, with a long list of ideas for products that should already exist. He started DSR to build them.

David

Founder

The founder and owner of an independent wealth management firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. With more than two decades of experience advising clients and building businesses, he brings a strong financial, strategic, and entrepreneurial perspective to DSR.

Originally from the East Coast, David studied finance at Seton Hall University before building his business in Arizona. Based in one of the country's fastest-growing wealth hubs, he has developed a sharp eye for opportunity, risk, and long-term value.

At DSR, David leads with vision: seeing what others overlook and helping turn practical ideas into products with real potential.

Hernan

Originally from Mexico City, Hernan studied Business Administration at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, and has worked in business operations and early-stage venture environments in both Mexico and the United States.

He joined DSR in 2025. He plays competitive tennis, which is how he and David met.

DSR is actively developing a portfolio of original consumer product concepts across everyday-use categories.

Our work is currently in private development. Additional details will be shared as products move closer to market.

Project O.M

Home & lifestyle

A home and lifestyle concept focused on comfort, everyday living, and the overlooked ways people interact with familiar household spaces.

The project explores how simple household moments can be made more intentional through thoughtful form, material selection, and practical usability. Development is currently focused on product structure, user experience, material testing, and preparation for manufacturable design.

Utility

A utility-focused product concept built around improving how everyday tools are handled, stored, and used.

The project addresses a common point of friction in daily work and household environments, with a focus on portability, organization, durability, and ease of use. Current development includes mechanical design review, prototype refinement, sourcing, and manufacturing feasibility.
